Farmers’ Market - on the weekend, a 10 minute walk at the edge of town
Fishermen’s Friend - just the basics convenience store
Creelman Farm & Store - In town store with cheese and veggies from a Vinalhaven farm, plus kitchen tools and housewares.
Robert’s Harbor Farm - visit the farm for produce

Dot and Millie’s - the new restaurant in town
Surfside – early breakfast 5 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – where local lobstermen and islanders eat
The Sand Bar - a lively local bar scene
Sea’s Bakery - a bakery
Homeport - a breakfast and lunch with ice cream and candy shop
to North Haven by boat
Nebo Lodge – take a trip across Fox Island Thorofare from the north end of Vinalhaven to this farm-to-table restaurant on the neighboring island of North Haven. Reservations recommended.
Turner Farm - barn suppers on Thursday and Friday evenings from June to September by reservation and weekly farm stand, check website for hours
Calderwood Hall - hip pizza parlor for dinner and sandwiches with a market in back for lunch, ice cream and outdoor seating
North Haven Brewery - microbrewery with seating just below Calderwood Hall

New Era Gallery - between Carver’s Market and Salt Restaurant – always interesting, showing the work of talented island artists
Marston House - next to Camden National Bank building beautiful antiques
Vinalhaven Historical Society - wonderful local history collections, open Monday through Saturday 11 AM to 4 PM, located on the hill overlooking the harbor
